Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using SnapLayer ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
SnapLayer is a creative design platform that provides users with tools to create, edit, and share visual content. The service includes games, credit systems, and community features designed to enhance user engagement and creativity.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Credit System and Games
SnapLayer uses a monthly credit system. During the Beta and other promotions, users can earn credits through gameplay and other activities. Credits are for use in SnapLayer and normally obtained through purchases. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the ability to earn extra monthly credits through games and promotions at any time. We will honor credits earned during these promotions except in the following conditions described below:
System Errors and Corrections: SnapLayer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to correct, adjust, or reverse any credits, benefits, bonuses, or other allocations that result from technical errors, bugs, system glitches, exploits, loopholes, or other unintended technical issues. Pricing and features displayed on the main product page constitute the authoritative source of benefits and pricing. Any technical deviations from these specifications that are exploited or result in over-allocation may be rectified by SnapLayer. We will make reasonable efforts to address such issues fairly and with understanding, but SnapLayer retains final discretion in determining appropriate corrections.
Record Keeping: Users are strongly advised to retain all receipts, confirmation emails, transaction records, purchase confirmations, license documentation, screenshots, and other proof of purchase or benefit allocation. These records are essential for verifying proper credit allocation and resolving issues that may arise from system glitches, outages, errors, or other technical problems. Failure to maintain such records may limit SnapLayer's ability to verify and correct discrepancies.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Transmit harmful or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SnapLayer and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
7. AI Features Policy (Summary)
All features we add to your tier — now or in the future — will be included in your LTD. We will not pull the classic "new tier" trick and leave LTD users behind on a frozen legacy plan. If your tier grows, you grow with it.
For the broadest access to future features and the highest limits, Agency (and stacked Agency plans) provides the best coverage. Other tiers may not receive certain features, and where features overlap, Agency tiers always have the best limits.
Currently, SnapLayer uses no AI features (except any images or layers you bring that were created with AI). However, we may add AI capabilities in the future. Because high‑quality AI tokens and models can be costly, we've created a transparent AI Features Policy explaining how it will work if we introduce them.
Summary: If AI features are added later, you'll have full access as part of your LTD tier. The only possible limits will be related to usage costs — you may need to bring your own API key or optionally buy credits to power those features. These same limits may also apply to monthly subscribers, depending on future AI token costs. SnapLayer isn't built as an AI tool, but if AI augmentation becomes available, every user will have the ability to access it at the level they're comfortable investing in. We'll never withhold future functionality or move LTD users to a "legacy" plan. Read the AI Features Policy.
8. How Monthly Image Credits Work
Your monthly image credits power SnapLayer's rendering and delivery features — not editing or design setup. Credits are consumed by:
- Downloading images from the editor or SnapSheet output
- Creating SnapLinks / SnapURLs
- Generating SnapPages and retrieving images from them
- Running API calls that render or distribute images
- Acquiring assets such as website screenshots, logos, or business images through built-in tools
Editing templates or preparing images doesn't consume credits unless you use automated acquisition. You can avoid those costs by collecting assets externally and uploading manually.
9. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
11. Disclaimer
The information on this Service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and terms relating to our Service and the use of this Service.
12. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SnapLayer, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
14. Contact Information
